Management constitutes one of the most important pillars of governance in societies. When the attributes “Republic” and “Islamic” are added to a system of governance, the management of its various sectors must inevitably be grounded in Islamic sources and religious teachings. Considering Ayatollah Khamenei’s role as a model in various pillars of governance, including the macro-level management of different sectors, the present study aims to examine the foundations and principles of management at the level of the Islamic Revolution based on his thought. This research is fundamental in nature and employs a thematic analysis approach. To achieve this objective, a qualitative content analysis based on Bardin’s model (1996) was applied to the speeches and statements of Ayatollah Khamenei. After examining the research data and conducting systematic note-taking, the primary themes and concepts were identified. Subsequently, through careful examination of the extracted statements and their coding, efforts were made to uncover underlying relationships and organize them into foundational principles. Accordingly, the research findings were categorized into three main components—responsibility awareness, ethics-centeredness, and adherence to the rule of law—along with 10 subcategories and 23 specific codes. The analysis of the findings indicates that management at the level of the Islamic Revolution in Ayatollah Khamenei’s thought is grounded in religious teachings and based on divine and Islamic values. In addition to providing constructive and practical guidelines for managerial affairs, it offers operational and strategic mechanisms for more effective administration, while outlining a path for growth and progress toward a pure life (Hayat Tayebah) and divine perfection
