In a context where global transformations and digital technologies have redirected the country’s trajectory from the traditional notion of “development” toward “progress” and “civilization-building,” adolescents play an irreplaceable role as the primary driving force of social transformation. The present study adopts a qualitative approach and employs thematic analysis with the aim of conceptualizing the notion of the “pioneering adolescent” in the thought of Ayatollah Khamenei and identifying his role and mission in advancing the objectives of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The findings indicate that the components of adolescent pioneering encompass five dimensions—ideological, ethical, scientific, cultural–social, and political—organized under the central principles of self-discipline, self-confidence, and insightfulness. The results suggest that, in order to achieve progress and realize the ideals of the Islamic Revolution, the country’s educational planning, pedagogical frameworks, and legislative and supervisory policies should be designed in such a way that adolescents, grounded in these axes and dimensions of pioneering, move along the path of advancement and excellence as the future builders of Islamic society
