Undoubtedly, the alignment of material manifestations and cognitive dimensions, as pillars of civilization, with the concepts of Islam is considered one of the most significant indicators of Islamic civilization. Accordingly, and unlike other civilizations, studies in the field of Islamic civilization cannot be conducted without considering the systematic role of religious guardianship (Wilayat). Therefore, this research, conducted through a descriptive-analytical method, seeks to address this primary question: what is the reasoning behind emphasizing and examining the necessity of relying on the system of religious guardianship as an effective strategy for recovering the components of Islamic civilization? Relying on divine verses and library resources, the results indicate that the constellation of Wilayat acts not merely as a political process or a theological doctrine, but as a system of cognitive and strategic governance. Belief in religious guardianship as a progressive, civilization-building model—in addition to strengthening a monotheistic attitude and delineating a religion-oriented orientation—counts as one of the fundamental strategies in recovering the components of Islamic civilization. Furthermore, it is by relying on the matter of religious guardianship that, in addition to redefining theoretical unity, practical convergence within the Islamic Ummah becomes objective. Moreover, through the establishment of a spirit of law-abidingness, which results from the leadership of the Divine Guardian (Wali), the grounds for implementing Sharia rulings are provided; consequently, through these civilization-building components, the dimensions of Islamic civilization will achieve stability and flourishing.
