With the proliferation of cyberspace and the growing influence of virtual and social networks on families, Islamic education has encountered various disruptions. Ayatollah Khamenei emphasizes that alongside its potential merits, cyberspace poses significant disadvantages for Islamic education; it can inflict serious harm on Islamic upbringing by promoting beliefs and behaviors contrary to Islam. Consequently, cultural managers and officials must devote special attention to this issue. The present research addresses this fundamental question: What is the role of cyber threats on Islamic education from the perspective of Ayatollah Khamenei? Utilizing the thematic analysis method, the researcher conceptualized data obtained from Ayatollah Khamenei’s statements. Based on these concepts, the following basic themes were identified: alteration of thoughts, changes in preferences, isolation, privacy concerns, reduction of psychological security, snooping, curiosity, demoralization, distortion, the fading of Islamic values, and cultural metamorphosis. Subsequently, the following organizing themes were derived: behavioral change, shifting orientations, alienation from the family environment, isolation and loneliness, probing, lack of immunity, exploration, psychological warfare, discrediting motives, cultural transformation, and the promotion of Western culture. Finally, by combining and merging closely related pervasive themes, five factors were extracted: lifestyle changes, the fading role of the family, the endangerment of privacy, security risks, and the institutionalization of Western cultural values.
