Violence against women has been discussed in human societies for a long time, and with the passage of time, this social phenomenon has not been resolved, but has intensified in some societies. Today, in the modern world, some forms of this phenomenon have changed and new dimensions of it have been identified. Therefore, the current research has investigated the phenomenon of violence against women by using library techniques and with an explanatory approach and using a descriptive-analytical method, based on the views and opinions of Supreme Ayatollah Khamenei. The findings show that violence against women has existed throughout history and in human societies in private and family spheres and public environments, in hard and soft forms and various types such as mental, physical, sexual, ethnic, economic and political violence. which itself can be caused by social, cultural, political and economic factors and carries consequences such as negative effects on spouses and children in the family environment and causes many problems including lack of social security, analysis of positive energies of society and creation of weak and incapable human resources in be the community environment. The final result indicates that among the views raised in the issue of women (intellectualist approach, petrified approach and moderate approach), only the moderate view can place women in their true position and intellectualist and petrified approaches lead to There is a lot of violence against women.
